Re: Cornwall
Porth beach 10 mins from fistral

zebthecat 10:57 Thu Jun 3
Re: Cornwall
Depends on what you are after.
I'd say not Fistral as it always rammed and Newquay is not great. Good beach though.
My faves are Widemouth Bay near Bude (probably a bit far from you) and Constatnine Bay. Both North coast and latter is brilliant for rockpooling if you have kids.

Just make a fucking decision Boots for fuck sake. If you’re going back then go to the other one next time. Fucking hell.

Re: Cornwall
Last day tomorrow, had a marvellous time, will be back

Quick question, we are doing a beach day tomorrow

Fistral or Perranporth ?

Just under 55 mins drive for either from where I am

Done Fowey, Par, Polperris, Padstow and Mevagissey, plus the gardens at Heligan and Charlestown.

Just want a chilled day

Saunders moved in the last year. Her place was bought by a SAGE advisor who bought his peerage from the Labour government.

Don't know if French/Henry ever lived together in Cornwall, but she has lived in Fowey for many years. I gather that she's fairly recently sold-up, and moved somewhere quieter within Cornwall as Fowey has become too touristy.

Our friends in Helston love all the celeb-related gossip down there.

Re: Cornwall
Alfs, its our first year so weve not really rented it out but next year we will do that, book out the weeks we go and then rent out the remaining.

It’s bloody windy here.

Every touristy place has loads of BENCHES, no pissed up people inhabiting them tho.

Re: Cornwall
Fatboy, how does that work? Do you scratch off the dates that your family wants to use it, and then rent it out for the rest of the year?

Re: Cornwall
Just bought a nice caravan on a haven park in perranporth for a nice few trips per year down there. We love doing our own thing down there rather than the usual tourist stuff - it usually ends up with us doing crabbing or catching a 2 or 3 lobsters and having a cook up on the beach.

The kids do love flambards though which is half a museum of Britain through the decades and half a theme park.

Left hand side of the harbour if you are looking from the sea.
Right from the land.
